Learning Management Systems
Learning management systems (LMS) are software applications that allow for creating, documenting, designing, reporting and delivering of e-learning materials. These systems are becoming much more popular as technology advances. They provide a much lower cost than traditional training methods. A good LMS should provide the following things.
- centralize and automate administration
- use self-service and self-guided services
- assemble and deliver learning content rapidly
- consolidate training initiatives on a scalable web-based platform
- support portability and standards
- personalize content and enable knowledge reuse.
